Walt Disney World has announced more information about the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge previews planned for some of its annual passholders! With important information including a key date range.
People with platinum, platinum plus and premier passholders will be able to visit at select times between Aug. 17 and Aug. 21. Passholders should have already received email invites asking them to register for an opportunity to go to the new land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park.
Galaxy’s Edge opens to the public there on Aug. 29. Disney World employees will be previewing the area between Aug. 1 and Aug. 16
Eligible passholders can also register to experience either Oga’s Cantina or to Savi’s Workshop that feature Hand built Lightsabers, which will allow the builder inside the store plus one additional spectator. The customized lightsabers are planning to be sold for $199.99.
These are experiences are subject to capacity, Disney says. Other tidbits and restrictions, according to Disney:
- There’s a two-drink maximum at Oga’s during the previews.
- The Millennium Falcon experience will be first-come, first-served.
- There may be wait times; passholders may not be able to experience everything.
- Reservations “may not be sold or bartered” or transferred.
Passholders can register a guest to accompany them, but that guest must also be platinum/platinum plus or premier passholder. The guest must also be listed on the Family & Friends list and opted to share “all my plans.”
